hey guys, just picked my 2010 3 MPS very pleased with it!! proper gti muncher! but not as much engine/ turbo noise as i was expecting. Is it recommended to fit a dump valve and if so will give any more power? or cause any strain on engine/ cause any faults ?

Its recommended you fit a Recirc Valve, such as the Forge BPV, or Turbosmart. Forge is the most popular choice on here. Oh and

On the topic of the 2nd cat, the MKII 3 MPS exhaust is a bit different to the MKI, and i remember a member on here got his 2nd cat taken out of his MKII and didnt experience much change in sound.

You'll still need an intake to get the noises, well at the desired volume anyway. The dv won't be that noticeable and no turbo noises with just a dv.

You wont gain any power with an uprated Blow off valve, the only benefits are it wont leak boost, and you should get less turbo lag when changing up a gear whilst flooring it.

As already said you need the intake to hear the blow off valve

What do u mean exactly that it won't work? If its only the dv you changed it will be a very slight noise from it. As said before you need rid of the airbox and replace it with Sri (short ram intake)
