Hi folks My first posting on this forum! I've just put down a deposit on a one owner, low miles, 2008 MY, in True Red from a local Mazda dealer. I'm chopping in my modded Civic R, the main reason being that I needed a more practical car (even though the mrs. already has a 5dr Corolla SR), but I didn't want to sacrifice the performance for practicality. I chose the MPS over BMW 130i, Golf GTI E30 and Focus ST3 - mainly because of the higher power and also hoping that the Mazda will prove to be the more reliable car?? I have plans for stage 1 and stage 2 upgrades I also wanted more subtle looks aswell as refinement. This particular standard MPS is quite a minter, and was being sold local too. I've always been into the modded Jap car scene, and as a bit of background info, my car history in reverse order: '05 Civic R - UKDM '98 Evo 5 GSR - JDM '94 Celica GT SS2 - JDM '93 MR2 GT - JDM '94 Pajero 2.8tdi swb - JDM (during a house buying/renovation phase!) '98 Impreza Turbo - UKDM '95 440 ES - UKDM (yes this Volvo was a runabout when I was 'between cars'!) '95 FTO GPX mt - JDM '94 Integra SiR - JDM '89 Golf GTi 8v - UKDM Well that's it! I'll be spending some time getting to know you and the cars - I've read most of the reviews but still feel like I know nothing! Cheers

Should look similar to this then. (I know they're black but you get the idea).

Welcome!
You made a good choice and I drove a Civic Type R EP3 '05 before my 6 MPS too.

I'll be getting the rear tinted too. Haven't a clue about how the running costs will pan out yet so will have to stay sensible on spending money on mods. Oooh the anticipation!
