I have just bought a used Mazda 2 Ts2 2009, new shape, and, keen to do my own servicing, any tips would be appreciated on:

1.
Where do you folks get a workshop service manual from, to do routine servicing e.g. Haynes, On-Line only, shonky from ebay ?
2.
Would it be essential to have diagnostic software (e.g. is there a service interval warning light that can only be reset using diagnostic software ?) - is it OBDII or Mazda specific ?
3.
Do you use a parts list, is there one on-line ?
4.
What is a Mazda MPS ?

Thank you

PS: first post, hope this is the right place.

You can shop around for a workshop manual.as for servicing give opie oils an email or a phone and they'll keep you right with all the fluids you need along with filters.

There isn't a service light on the Mazda 2 so you won't need a diagnostic tool.

In short mps stands for Mazda performance systems.

Hello & :welcome:

So do you plan to get a MPS in the future? Currently they only have a Mazda 3 MPS or a Mazda 6 MPS.

How are you finding the Mazda 2?

If you do want a diagnostic tool then you can get a code reader off ebay for 20 quid, i bought one and it works just fine and have used it a few times on mine and my sister peugeot and once on the MPS!!!!

Thank you guys, much appreciated.

I guess I should be on a more regular Mazda site now I know what MPS means.

The Mazda is great fun and I will get a cheap diagnostic tool off of Ebay.
