Thought i'd post up and say Hello :)

Unfortunately my Leon Cupra K1 was sacraficed to Car Heaven Last Week :( I had to be cut out of the car after being hit from behind whilst being stationary :(

So unfortunately the K1 has gone... Had remap, ITG Intake and Miltek Exhaust and running 300bhp :)

I am now on the look-out for a replacement and dont like Ford ST's, Astra VXR's or want to get another K1 and then someone mentioned about the Mazda 3 MPS :) To be honest i prefer the 2010 (mk2?) looks of the 3 MPS. Would like to have similar options as the K1 had, Sat Nav, Bluetooth etc.

Are there some options available to get similar mods that i had before onto the 2010 3 MPS? If yes, what sort of BHP would i be looking at getting? Also are there any tuning companies down South for the MPS?

Is there anything i should be wary off when buying one of these cars?

Thanks
:)

Same mods would net very similar power in an MPS :) It's not difficult to hit 300bhpwith an induction kit and an uprated intercooler with a remap. Maybe a decat aswell. Most exhaust mods will make bugger all difference unless you do a full turbo-back though :)

Short answer: just buy an MPS! They're great cars and they're exlusive

I love the ford Focus RS in white. Dont know much about them though. The 3MPS is a great car if you sort out the niggly bits. 0-60 in under 6 secs easy once you learn how to drive it.

Hello and :welcome:

glad you seem ok after the crash, sounds nasty.

The mk1 is easier to get 300 out of than the mk 2 as the ecu map on the mk2 seems harder to tune up . Not sure if we have any mk2 members running over 300?

Good luck with the hunt.

Thanks for the replies guys :)

I think i will be leaving the car standard for a little while.. Just so that i can get used to it. As i left my K1 standard for a while then upgraded :)

That way i get to enjoy the upgrades when they come round :) And hopefully more tuning options will be available for the Mk2 :)

Now got to try and find the right car... Did find 1 straight away but unfortunately it had already been sold.

The search continues ......

MKII's are cheaper on the R/T than MKI's. I would go for the mods straight away then you will get the best value for money. Oops, just noticed. You want one still in Mazda warranty. Maybe a MKI late 2008 cos you will save about £4K and you can mod away. Best of luck.

Good luck with your search. There's a chap in the Newcastle area running around 340bhp, can't remember his name but I'm sure someone will.

An induction kit is a must (Corksport/ K&N Typhoon/Injen CAI) , they sound superb and raise an easy 20/25 bhp. Standard tyres aren't great so think about swapping for some better rubber.

And they take super unleaded, the dealer won't mention that ! Most on here run V-Power or Momentum.

Nice to hear good powergains are reachable. :)

I've always ran my turbo'd cars on V-Power :)

The search still continues .....

There was a small batch that slipped through the net without satnav and the rear parking sensors me thinks
