Oh there's quite an extensive theme running thru some threads on all this. Something to do with the actual dye itself increasing the mass of the paint which spread over the surface area of the car adds up to several kilos. Not to mention the drag factor........ Only seen one red on the road, just last week - looked crackin. Had to slow down so he could catch up and give me a wave tho.
