Trying get to get to grips with new car mk1 mazda 3 07 prev owner has. Upgraded most suspension parts and few other bits. I've just done a oil change and now need to look at service parts. Where are the spark plugs and how to access them.
And I saw a video on how to change cabin air filter seems alot of effort for this is there an easier way?

Colour: True Red Solid
Install time:10-20min

Tools needed:
Ratchet set
4 new spark plugs (a good choice for standard engine would be NGK ILTR6A-8G 3787)

For those who have not upgraded to a FMIC you will have to remove your TMIC. You will need:

2x 10mm for cover

3x 12mm for TMIC

Loosen up the hose clamps for the boost tubes.

Pull up, shake as needed and take the TMIC Off.

First you need to locate where your plugs are. They are under these 4 black caps (which are the ignition coils) w/ grey connectors at the end of them.

Next you will need to disconnect the grey connectors and unscrew the screws on top of the ignition coils 8mm

Next pull the ignition coils out, the spark plugs are underneath

Next use your ratchet to get the old plugs out and put them in the trash. Before putting your new plugs in use a spark plug gap gauge to check and fix the gap on your plugs. The correct gap is 0.8mm, they should come pre-gapped anyway.

Fit new plugs, carefully, without cross threading them.

Put the rest back together.

Simples.
