)Hi guys Ive recently joined up to the forum with the intent on buying a Mazda6 MPS. I recommended the car to my old man a few years back and ended up getting one as a company car. Superb cars, very rare and underrated. They look great aswell. I have a quick question, is it true that the cars registered before March 31 2006 qualify for the £245 tax and anything after is £445? I currently own a DC2 which im keeping, and we're selling the mrs car, so in theory it would be hers  (we were going to sell the teg originally, but decided against it and ditch the Hyundai  Can anyone reccomend prices i should be paying for a low mileage 55, 06 plate preferably in black? The prices on pistonheads and autotrader vary quite a bit! Thanks Darren!

I bought mine 6 weeks ago and the prices vary all over - mine is an 07 with 45k miles on it, full service history, sat nav etc and I paid just over £8k. Never seen one close to it since - might have just got lucky.
Keep looking you can get a good price if you are willing to shop around and travel to get one. I travelled to Norfolk from Newcastle.
I also thought about getting a cheaper tax bracket one but thought whats an extra £200/year!

I think this is the car i looked at back in December, 1 owner from new, the full kit, but the price was about 10K orginally, he must have dropped the price alot. from memory was it grey, or have i got the wrong car?
