Hi all newbie from scotland with problems already.

Ive put deposit down on mk 1 mazda 3 mps an when garage put it up for MOT had broken front spring thats all been fixed but on way back from test station EML light came on and its seemingly something to do with flaps in inlet manifold needing cleaned.

So off to a great start but when thats fixed cant wait to go collect car

Probably a P2006 or P2009 code..... Check the vacuum lines from the little black box on top of the intake manifold are secure and in good shape. To the right side of the intake manifold there is a litle unit that moves the flaps in the intake manifold.... Check the electrical connectors are snug, not damp and are in good shape.

Hi mate and welcome! DJJUT is very knowledgeable about these cars, so it probably wouldn't hurt to let the garage know! May get the car a bit quicker. Good luck either way.

So wee update guys garage was taking ages an car still got light on so driving me round the bend.

So made agreement with garage because im a mechanic to trade they will allow me to strip or look at car myself and any bits the car needs they will supply an sent up to me.

So no doubt DJJUT i will be asking your advice very soon.

Picking car up tonight so hope i dont regret trading my wee clio 182 for this car.

Cheers all
