Think I have a vvt rattle. Have a kit sorted as I am get getting a full rebuild how long is recommended driving with this rattle as its not in till Jan. Any help please?

If I understand it the timing belt is no longer being kept tight. With slack it can jump a cog and change the timing at any moment destroying your engine (pistons & valves colliding)
