Hi all,

Though I'd say hello as I'm looking for a 3 MPS - either MkI or II :)

What's people's thoughts on the market currently? A lot of the 1s I've seen look a bit tired (high miles, not full history etc) and the better crop of MkIIs seem to be up for strong money at £10k+. The same cars seem to be hanging around for ages too which tells me they aren't priced right!

Ideally I'd want something around 60k miles with FSH - what do you think they're worth at the moment?

Cheers

Depends what you want from a car. We chose the Mk2 because we already had a Mk2 2.0 Sport, plus the Mk2 comes with features such as Satnav, parking sensors, heated seats, heated windscreen, cruise control, bluetooth, etc...however if you are after sheer power and nothing else, I think the mk1 is a bit more unrefined and a bit more of an animal. It is also down to preference in style, some people dislike the styling of the Mk2, but I personally love it because its different to anything else out there. There are some bargain Mk2's out there, you just have to search, i also dont think you need to spend more than £10k to get one. Thats my two pennies, if it counts for anything. Oh, and welcome to the group!

I like the MkI and II, the extra toys in the MkII would be nice to have but I could live without them. I may be way off the mark here but I wouldn't pay more than £4.5k for a MkI and £8.5k for a MkII.

I'm in Cheshire btw.
