Hi guys!

Recently purchased a 2010 Mazda 3 MPS (Photos to follow). This is my 11th car & probably the quickest yet, surprisingly quick to be honest!!
Had a look for the past week on the forum, looks like theres a lot of people in the know so i'll definitely be on here quite often.

Mods already done below:
HPFP
GT30R turbo with custom oil feed returns
Turbosmart Recirc valve
Full turbo back 3.5" JETEX exhaust
Large alloy cooler with silicone hose kit
SURE Sidewinder 4" tip & sri
Large uprated TMIC with SURE silicone hose kit
EGR delete
Oil catch can with PCV plate delete
SURE short shift
SURE adjustable throw shifter set up
SURE shifter mounts
Cosworth Thermostat
Corksport large carbon hood scoop
Sure rear engine mount
Yellowspeed ultra grand 6 pot big brake kit 356mm
Front & rear whiteline anti rollbars
TEIN adjustable super street advanced coilovers.

PM'd Justin as i'd like an e-tune, currently mapped by BBR but heard so many good things about j-tune.

Previous cars if anyone is curious...
Peugeot 106
Suzuki Swift sport
VW Golf
VW Jetta
Hyundai Coupe
Saab 93
Skoda Fabia (Mapped to 180bhp at Darkside Developments)
Audi A5 3.0TDI (Mapped to 280bhp)
Mercedes E350 Coupe (Mapped to 310bhp at MSL)
Mini 2010 JCW (Terrible car, 3 faults in 2 months of owning)

Ricky. :mpsoc:

Shame you have a bbr map on, glad to see you're on the case to change it already, waaaay better, bbr will charge to remove the map, about £75, other ecutek dealers do offer it for free though.

Poor choice of turbo by previous owner (GT is very laggy) and a 30 is wasted on a stock block :(
Is it a 71 or 76?

Also, the cosworth thermostat can cause the cars fan to come on a bit late to the party, keep an eye on your temps or even swap back to oem

Yeahhh messaged Justin earlier, just awaiting a reply to see what options i have. :D
Will other ecutek dealers remove it even if BBR were the ones that did the map? And if they remove the map will i be able to get a base map put on via the Cobb V3 in the meantime so i can run it with the mods on?

Thanks for the tips, i'll keep an eye on it!

Sure I saw this one up for sale on the Facebook page. Looks a nice car if it's the one I'm thinking of. Once you get justin to start tuning it'll be a completely different car again!

Yeah they can, I bought a car with a bbr map on and I removed it myself by downloading the oem map, software and borrowing an ecutek dongle and cable. Did it for another few owners too, other ecutek garages have done it for other owners FOC also.

Justin won't be able to tune you with a Cobb AP due to the new update, go down the versatune route.

I'll have to find a company nearby then to remove the map soon as i've spoke to Justin, surely i won't be able to download the oem map though & put that on the car with all the mods.

So having a Cobb AP is now pointless with regards mapping??

If you have the Cobb ATR tuning software then I can provide a tune for you otherwise the only option is to use a Cobb certified protuner in the USA.

No you won't be able to use an oem map with your current setup, if you haven't bought Cobb yet, I recommend buying versatune, then ask Justin for a safe base map, go to where will be taking your map off and as soon as they take the map off, you put the base map on, installing versa on your car for the first time takes Aprox 30 mins so ensure you have a decent battery on your laptop/tablet and car, drip feeding the car battery is recommended if you can?
