Quite pleased with it so far, completely different drive to the type r though, this turbo business will take some getting used to, is the loud whooshing noise normal when your put your foot down?

Really fancy getting the wheels dipped black though! Thoughts on any other visual mods?

Hello and :welcome: ... and snap! :D

With regard to the loud whooshing noise most likely your car might have a Short Ram Intake / Induction kit as a standard car doesn't really make any whooshing or sucking noise .. I fitted a better Panel Filter ( Jetex ) and that gave me a small amount of induction noise but nothing like an SRI..show us under the bonnet! :D And if you don't want it I'll buy it off you! :ihih:
As for the wheels it is a personal thing. I really think the silver wheels with white bodywork looks great, but the wheels in a graphite colour looks good too..blacks imo looks cheap as so many manufacturers have done that as standard. Have a look at the tuning company BBR , they have a 3 MPS demo car . It looks so sweet  . The only other thing I personally would do is graphite mirrors and lower rear bumper ( again like the BBR demo ) .
Apart from that these cars are more about mods under the skin than visual mods.. stealth is key.
Oh and maybe fill in some details in your Profile like where you're from. Enjoy!
Cheers,
Steve

Very nice Steve, looks immaculate! how long have you had it?

I will upload a photo under bonnet later, be interesting to see if there is anything done to it because i wasn't expecting it as standard to make such a loud whooshing noise, hope there is nothing wrong with it!

Have you done any modifications, visually or performance wise to yours? Need to do some saving before i venture down that path as i know once i start i wont stop!

I will update profile now, I'm from Birmingham ( probably why i wasn't in a rush to put my location down!)

Sam

Cheers Sam :) Had it since November. I swore I'd never buy a white car again as keeping it clean is becoming an obsession! :D
As for mods how long have you got?!? :D
Only a few so far ..
Jetex panel filter ( as said before definitely makes a nice audible turbo hiss and dump )
I thought the exhaust was too quiet so after reading too much about different exhausts etc bought a 2nd decat pipe. Got my local garage to fit it and it's perfect! Makes it sound that bit deeper but not raspy or obnoxious! Plus it'll pass the MOT with the 1 cat in the downpipe when the time comes.
I wanted to fit a better new Rear Engine Mount 'cos my gearchange felt sloppy but couldn't afford it so bought the corkscrew inserts and that has helped with only a small amount of increased noise and vibration.
Lastly fitted LEDs to the front sidelights and rear number plate bulbs.
One thing that you might not know but the 3 MPS Mk2 is sensitive to mods so anything that increases the bhp like Short Ram Intake , TIP, remap etc is not advised until you upgrade to a High Pressure Fuel Pump..which @ £300+ is outa my league ! I'm happy with the power at the moment but I do want an SRI! Maybe some day lol!
Anyway sorry for going on and happy to help if you need more info ! :D

Steve

Yes I am in exactly the same boat after owning a black car, i have washed this one 3 times now in probably 10 days!

Thanks for going into some detail on your mods, at least now if i ever bump into someone knowledgeable on the car i was sound like such a dummy!

I think before i start any performance upgrades i need to get to a similar level of understanding as yourself rather than just pick any old stuff as there's such a choice when it comes to modding these cars! my type R was either remap it or chuck a turbo in it.

As i learn more i think i will gradually start my wish list/ shopping list so may very well be coming to you for more information!

I'm getting the impression there isn't many local Mps owners to me, think i have seen two Mk2's before and that's it? everyone seems to be right up north or down south... my mileage will creep up if i start attending meets...
