Hi MPS owners. Based in Didcot in Oxfordshire I'm not currently an MPS owner but I'm looking at getting a Mazda 6 MPS (preferably in silver). Just having a good read about the due diligence needed when buying an MPS. Just getting used to the terminology (VVTi, Turbo Seals, EGR delete etc.)

I used to have a Mazda Xedos 6 2.0 V6, first car I ever owned when I passed my test in 1995, just went to the scrapyard after 21 years. I consider the Mazda 6 MPS my old car's spiritual successor.

Whilst the 6MPS is a superb car, it won`t be in the same build quality league as your old xedos. That car was a real Japanese Mazda.

Not quite to the moon but nearly. Ultimately killed by rust. My girlfriend learned to drive in it. Rounded all four corners parking. I replaced the light lenses, probably didn't do a great job, water leaked into the rear wings and rusted them from the inside out :(

I moved to an RX-8 in 2011 but it has just been diagnosed with bearing failure.

Which is why I'm considering a Mazda 6 MPS.
