Hello fellow motoring enthusiasts! I have recently purchased a 6 MPS 2007 in some kind of silvery blue colour (would be good to know what the colour is actually called)….. I read up alot about the car and pretty much all reviews were positive. Decided the disadvantages were too few and I dont mind a tough clutch…. I have had the car for one week now…..and I am absolutely loving it. I drive 70km one way to work….there is alot of snow here which is in the process of melting. Overtaking is no problem even in these conditions. I have a Stage 1 EcuTek, and am about to fit an SRI from Cork. What I find unbelievable is that I have had E34 M5’s, and E61 M5 an Alpina B8 and a C5 Audi RS6….I have as much enjoyment from this car as I had from the above cars …..okay I might have felt more exclusive in the Germans but this thing costs so little to run in comparison especially if you think about the fuel on the E61 M5 and the RS6…..Also I think the steering on the MPS is way better than the RS6’s. The insurance is 40% of the Germans on average and the servicing costs around 50%.....as you get older these things matter!! But yep, great chassis – love the nimbleness and grip and the torque is excellent also for an engine of this size. I am running Winter tires right now so I am assuming more is yet to come from the chassis once the summer boots are on in April. Have been reading up on mods etc – and would love to get the intrercooler upgrade next. Will also get my turbo refurbished & new internals soon. Does anyone know when I put on the SRI from Cork – will I need to retune my car so it adapts to the extra air or ….will it adapt using the MAF input on its own? https://www.dropbox.com/s/kmaf1ympqg1mq ... 1.jpg?dl=0Ciao! James

Hi and welcome!
Firstly, car looks very nice, well done. Regarding the intake, If it is above standard size it will need the MAF calibrating and I think the Corksport is 3 inch, so it will. May as well get the Turbo Inlet Pipe (TIP) if it doesn't come with it as well. A Cobb AP which is standalone, kind of like a cellphone sized device, or Versatuner, which needs a Separate cable and laptop should be on your list as well, because you can get an e-tune then, or calibrate the MAF yourself. This club is lucky to have some very knowledgeable people, and one of the best tuners in the business in the shape of DJJUT, so get that wallet open and get spending!

Thanks Autech, it is a nice car milegae is 151 000km's now. The turbo inlet pipe comes with this SRI package.
There is a bit of rust on the rear side bumper so that will be fixed soon.
The wallet has already been opened......and I swear I saw a few moths flapping about.
...I'm also itching for a pair of concave wheels...

Welcome to the forum James Glad to hear you're enjoying the car Silvery Blue would be Moist Silver I think SRI and TIP are tune free unless you go 3" More exclusive in the German wagons? Give it a month or so and let us know how many other MPS's you've seen on the road :p ;) Rust where the arches meet the rear bumper is unfortunately quite common

Thanks Divine Wind.
I understand what you mean - I haven't seen a single one on the roads yet. I am beginning to feel more and more exclusive....
