Evening all,

Been browsing the forum for a while and decided to finally post. I'm looking for a late mk1 aero in white with lowish miles went and looked at a white one yesterday 58 plate but wasn't for me, paint didn't match and cam chain was a bit rattly.

I've currently got a 530d touring which is up for sale so if anyone has a white mps aero and wants a 530d touring speak up haha

In all seriousness please let me know if you have or are thinking of selling your mk1 In white

Thanks

Lewis

Hi and welcome to the forum. You'll be waiting a while mate for a mk1 facelift aero on the forum, seen a few pop up on the trader over the last year but not many. Just be patient and one will come up eventually mate, happy hunting.

I went from a 530d to the mps as well you won't regret it I was in such a hurry to get rid of the 5 series I took a fairly low px value and preyed they didn't drive it or spot the diesel leaking all over their forecourt before the deal was done. I still regret not holding off for a clean mk2 mps but my 530d was on the brink of more super expensive repair bills so it had to go. I found a 39k 1 owner mk1 and it was only 30 mins drive away I wanted a white one too but ended up with a black haha

Thanks guys,

The 530d is a nice car but not for me. I went and looked at the White MPS on auto trader for 6490 but it wasn't as good as the pictures. Unfortunately I to am impatient, hopefully the 530d will go soon and il
Just buy a banger to run around in until I find one! Just have to hold out!

Thanks

Lewis

Yeah it wasn't really for me either it was my attempt at giving up modded cars and having a normal family car with decent fuel economy that still had a bit of poke, the wife took an instant dislike to it because of the huge size and the doors were quite heavy. I wanted to sell it privately but the steering was making a loud groaning noise on roundabouts and i had got a fuel leak fixed on its mot then another one started.

When I was looking for a mk2 a lovely white Mazda 3 2.2d sport nav 185 with a mk2 mps spoiler came up in Cumbria so not that far away I was so tempted it looked exactly like a mk2 mps (but without the bonnet scoop) and had all the same luxuries. I kept thinking it'd be perfect but I'd had 2 diesel bmws previously and knew I wouldn't have the same love for it to drive as a petrol and be bored with it after a couple of months.

I'm happy with the mps I got even if it wasn't a mk2 or a white mk1 it hasn't missed a beat since July I swore I'd never have another black car after my type r as they never look clean and show up the slightest of swirls, minor scratches and stone chips much more but I'd always choose low mileage, full service history and 1 owner over colour.

Good luck with the sale & search mate

It is often said by new car sales people that buyers spend as much time deciding on colour than every other choice put together. I can understand why because it is such a significant feature of what you are buying into.
Personally, once the decision is made, it becomes less of a feature of the car once it takes on its full meaning. I wouldn't care what colour my 6MPS is now.

This one on eBay looks nice if a bit expensive but I'm guessing he'd go down to £8k which wouldn't be too bad http://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/151900034832
