Hello everyone,
My name is Steve, I'm in Glasgow, and have bought recently an MPS Mk2 from Mazda Edinburgh.
I'm from a Subaru background - Imprezas, Outbacks , Legacys .. you name it I've probably had it :D My last Legacy was getting long in the tooth and wanted back into something turbo'd so was looking at Saab 9-3 Aeros, Subarus of every sort , and just about everything else when this MPS popped up in Scotland . I went to see it on a whim and somehow managed to buy it! :) This is my 1st diversion from Subaru that I've always had ... OMG no 4WD! lol I love it , it feels so tight and light compared with heavy old estates :D Great kit in it too. Just wish it hadn't been white as the neighbours already talk about me washing my car too much! :D
Anyway , the modding urge is strong despite me swearing I wouldn't.. but will keep reading up on exhausts etc as if I had to complain it is a tad quiet. If I could get it a bit throatier all the time like when the AC is on and idling then I'd be happier.
Here she is..

Thanks again everyone .. might come along to a meet at some point.

I will 2nd decat atvsome point, tho' it's under warranty with Mazda at the mo so don't want to tempt fate lol..plus insurance is "non-modded" at the moment and don't want to add or start changing things. Good to know it can be done as only seen diagrams and it mentioned for the Mk1 .

I'm enjoying the MPS , my only grumble is lack of traction , especially in 2nd and 3rd gear. New Goodyears thrown on the front just after I bought it so that cannot be blamed . What's the best PSI to set the tyres at? Set them to 34 and still wheelspinning in 2nd and 3rd if I plant it!

PS Anyone in Glasgow ( or near) recommend a place to 2nd decat it? I am very warey of some places and only want to give my car to someone who knows what they are doing and have done an MPS Mk2 before

Steve
