Right guys! We are now on our THIRD Mazda3! Started with a 2005/55 Mazda 3 TS 1.6, had that for two years, then upgraded that to a Gen 2 2009/59 Mazda 3 Sport 2.0 i-Stop Petrol, and today we have upgraded to a Gen 2 2009/59 Mazda 3 MPS!

We searched high and low for the right car, drove to two dealerships about 2 hours away each time to only be disappointed with the car. They were high mileage, but described in excellent condition, lets just say I have different views on what excellent condition means, as both cars were poor in my opinion.

We stumbled across one private sale in Essex, which is 225 miles from my home, and started messaging the guy about it. After about two weeks of conversations, we paid him a deposit and week later (today) we did the 450 mile round trip to collect the beauty.

It is one of the very first Gen 2 Models on a 2009/59 Registration, that has only covered 23,000 miles from new! One previous owner to the guy I bought it from. The car is gorgeous, in prestine condition.

It has had a few tasteful modifications, the first one being the "resonator/middle" box has been replaced with a stainless steel straight pipe, and OMG she sounds amazing! Not chavvy, not loud, not obnoxious, but just perfect. It sounds natural for the car, and purrs away nicely on the motorway, but makes all the right noises when you want it to. That is the ONLY mechanical modication.

The rest of the modifications are purely cosmetic. The roof, front grille, rear number plate surround, and wing mirrors have been PAINTED to a very high finish, in gloss black. The alloy wheels were refurbished and painted black, with the front surface of the wheels machine polished, these are a one of a kind design, and they are beautiful, but remember, they are the original MPS alloys. The interior has also had some paint as well, all of the silver "trim" was removed from the car and PAINTED gloss black as well!

I can also say, that this car is more fuel efficient (not why I bought it) than my old 2.0 i-stop Sport. The journey home was 225 miles and I have over a quarter of a tank left (and I WAS playing), whereas my old one would have been completely empty!

The love story shall continue over the years, but firstly, ill post some pics! These were the pics in the advert from the car, I haven't had chance to take my own pics yet, but they do it all the justice it needs!

First two pics are of my previous cars!

Wow. Very nice example! Love those wheels. Thought they were vxr replicas to start with.
Do you have much planned?

Defintley NOT VXR replica's! They are original 3 MPS alloys. I love them.

Nothing much planned, as said the resonator/middle box has been removed so it makes a nice sound, but don't think I will be doing anything else. All the cosmetic things I wanted to do, were already done to the car when I bought it.

Love it so far!

Nice, I like the gloss on the rear bumper and mirrors, looks like you got a clean Mk2!

I didn't think the wheels were Mk2 wheels to begin with as they look quite different!

Welcome to :mpsoc: too

Nice! Just studied the pictures a bit better now I'm not working and the gloss looks good. They must have gone to quite a bit of effort to do all the interior bits of trim too!
