Hello all, Been a lurker since June last year when I bought my MKII 3 MPS but finally paid up and got a shed load of useful info for the beast! Went from a 2000 plate 323F GXi 1.5l (first car) to this monster. Absolutely love it (and the working air con lol)! I had planned a few upgrades to give it a little more performance but found out my insurer won't even let me change the colour of my wheels, let alone whack in an SRI, TIP and get it tuned. Allianz. Bunch of bastards! I'll probably give Adrian Flux a buzz and see what they can do, even my missus has an SRI on her 2011 Mazda 2 Sport (along with CAI, painted calipers, vinyl roof and spoiler wrap etc.) and none of it even cost her extra in premium. So, I'm gonna start small: LED side and license plate lights!

Welcome along.
I found a lot of the usual insurers won't touch some mods although I'm surprised at them not allowing a change of wheel colour! I went through Adrian Flux myself after my previous insurer (e-sure) wouldn't allow sri & tip

I did a quote with Admiral where I included uprated air filter and engine management mod, they wanted about £200 more in premium than I'm currently paying! My wife's with Aviva but they just aren't competitive with a stock MPS which is a shame as they seem to be OK about mods (albeit on a 1.5l).
