Looking to buy my first MPS 6. Is this car known to anyone here - http://www.gumtree.com/p/mazda/mazda-6-mps/1122685674

I was thinking of getting Kenneth Brown Engineering to do a PPI. Do these guys know their way around an MPS 6?

I recognise the car - I've seen it around Renfrew and the owner isn't on here. Unfortunately I can't tell you anything else about it! Looks in good condition and nice low mileage example (and the best colour).

I know KB engineering have seen a few MPS's over the years (including my 6) and have done a couple of VVT's on them. They seem to know their stuff generally. They will also come onto forums to ask questions/advice if there is anything they aren't sure of.

Looks like a good example and the best colour :)
See if they can give you a copy of the history and mot to have a nosey through
see if the vvt has already been done and let it sit for a while and then Hoff it tho check for turbo smoke.

Tbh paying for an inspection isn't really needed ask the info you need is on here.
other than the usual checks for any car of course

Ps - my low tax silver one is up For sale if you weren't set on red

Not easy to get to Glasgow from London plus holidays, etc make it difficult to find time to get up there. Does look nice though and red is growing on me although, in the first place, I was after a more subdued colour. Where are you based?

Definitely worth traveling if it's the right car for you. If you want, I'm happy to go along and take a look before you travel up and make sure there is nothing obviously wrong with it. I'm not that mechanically minded but can listen for vvt and check for turbo some etc as well as giving it a good look over.

I had my vvt done at kenneth brown engineering. The guy knows his stuff. The array of cars that goes though his garage would scare you!

I travelled from stirling to London for mine. Distance is irrelevant if it's the right car. Just get plenty pics of every panel and as much info as possible.it cost me £83 all in for a flight and two trains.

Been talking with the bloke - Tom - and he appears very genuine. Works odd hours and can only make Fris and Sats which is a bit awkward at the moment as I've got things going on. That said I still intend to view as soon as I get a chance assuming it's still for sale. However, if you have some spare time and could have a look beforehand I'd really appreciate it.
