Hi, My names Max and I'm currently on the look out for a Mazda 3 MPS. I thought I would read up on here some stuff about them. Hopefully I will be looking at a nice low mileage one next week so I'm sure I will be bugging you all with questions

Well here it is:  It's a completely standard MK1 with the aero kit. It has just under 30k on the clock so will make a nice long term project. Please note progress will be slightly slow due to me having to do some more work on the house :( I plan on having this as a semi sleeper. Potential plans: Cosmetic:- - Remove the MPS badges and the window stickers the last owner put in - Possible rear de bage and rear wiper removal - Get the small stone dents in the roof taken out - Get the rear sub frame thing re-sprayed or powercoated as showing signs of surface rust - Get some see through rust protector on the arches/bonnet Handling:- - Change the wheels to either 17's and put some bigger tyres on or get some RX8 alloys - Get the softer BBR GTI springs as the ride is a little harsh Performance:- - Get a better turbo as the standard K04's appear to have a habit oil seals braking - High pressure fuel pump - Some sort of air filter - Sports cat's for MOT purposes - Remap like a Cobb or similar - Forged engine/pistons depending on the money It's my first car with a petrol turbo engine so still learning about these things
