Hey guys joined up here recently and after having gone through the ownership of both the fn2 and dc5 I think I want to try something different. The dc5 is my daily driver and the 3MPS seems like a decent replacement which will more than likely be a more practical and comfy daily driver. The Integra is just too track orientated for daily use and does start to get tiring because of this. Owning it is a great pleasure though and I will miss it's gorgeous styling and the crazy amounts of attention it draws on the road. It can't go unnoticed if it tried lol. It's been n/a tuned and is a manic blast in VTEC I will most likely be on the look out for a mk1 3MPS as I'm not looking to spend too much. The £500 annual tax is extremely unattractive however :(. I would much prefer to get my hands on an already tuned mps if possible. Knowing me, I will end up tuning a stock one anyway so this way I can save myself the hassle, time and expenses of tuning a car that I need to use on a daily basis. I now find tuning a bit of a bother and have had enough of the experience I may even consider swap or px with an MPS if it really catches my eye. It would have to be a really nice one in the case of a swap though and not a bog standard. What should I be careful of or avoid when hunting down an MPS? some pics of my current Integra:

Nice vtec yo, don't expect the 3 to handle anything like your Honda

Welcome to There is lots of info on here about little niggles of the MPS, check out the technical 3 section. The MPS will feel like an arm chair compared to a DC5.

Welcome bud. I was considering a teg but was more than I wanted to spend for a decent one so ended up with a 6. Fair bit of work to do before you can go for mega power on a 6, little less on a 3. Find one with the ground work done already; rear engine mount (referred to as rem or rmm), high pressure fuel pump (hpfp) internals upgraded and on a 6, diff mounts too. Then get a self remapping tool (Cobb accessport or versatune laptop software, then air intake, downpipe, remap and you're at 300bhp 320lbs. Add a fmic and dirty great big tubby for 380bhp and over 400lbs torque. Then it gets tougher to break 400 horses. Swap out dampers for bilstein b8 and add eibach pros, maybe some braces. 0-60 in around 4.5 to 5 seconds If you find one claiming to be mapped which has not had hpfp be cautious. And timing chains are notorious failure points.
