Hi Everyone Just bought a 2006 MPS6 in black standard apart from the alloys have been refurbed in gunmetal. Must admit I am very pleased with the car and hope to be a regular on here Can anybody recommend a decent mechanic or garage who can replace the VVT and chain I live near junction 31 ,M1 near Sheffield Steve

Hello and  to the  mate. I've also bought a black mps6 recently and loving it! Not changed the vvt yet, good to replace after 60k I think

to !! A few people living near J31. I would highly recommend David Hastie in Ambleside to replace the VVT and timing chain. Why are you wanting the VVT and chain replacing? Is it under warranty?

Chains a bit noisy on start up and I have had the head off and there are defo markings on the inside where chain is hitting only 47k on the clock but pre march 2006 so she is an early model
