Hey folks!!

I currently drive a RenaultSport Megane R26 but it's been a complete nightmare in the past 6 months, so I want something a bit more reliable!! I'm hoping either the 3 or 6 MPS fits the bill?

Cheers,

Russ.

Hi,

I had a mk1 225 one of the first ones in Brum. The car was a total nightmare. Engine management light kept coming on and the car spent about 3 months in 3 years in the main dealership in Brum to try and get it fixed. They didnt have a clue how to fix it and kept fobbing me off. Cheeky buggers would just reset the fault and say it was fixed, 10 miles down the road the management light would come on again. Ren_ault customer services were good but the dealership just kept telling them there was nothing wrong with the car. Had to get rid off the car before the warranty ran out with only 10000 miles on the clock in under 3 years.

Hi Chevy,

Yes, I'm on Detailing World too - far too much :)

In 6 months, I've had:

- New ARB Links
- New Steering Rack
- New Steering Rods
- 3 replacement Window Regulators
- No power from start up twice (They won't fix)
- Clutch groan (which they won't do anything about!)

Also, the paint is patchy for some reason, which annoys the hell out of me.

Don't get me wrong, the handling is incredible (but not at good as my R27 Clio before it!) and I realise I will be sacrificing that a bit, but I just want something reliable. I'm looking at various Type-R's too, but think I'll miss the torque if I go 'non-turbo' again.

Russ.
