Hi all,

Im about to pull the trigger on a 08 MPS with 80 000 km on the clock, fsh, no major repairs has been done on the car and it never gave any problems, pads + discs were replaced 10 000km ago, owned by mature older family man - still bone stock.

I have been a bike (R1) owner for the past 5 or so years but becoming a dad in october so wifey said it has to go and after somesearching the 6 seems like the ideal candidate.

I guess my questions are:
1. Anything specific i should look for on the car before i do the final paperwork
2. Any type of common problems that they have or that i should look for after taking ownership
3. Basic upgrades to give it some extra puff while still keeping it reliable (will be used as main family car on holidays and longer trips)
4. Havent tested its bose sound yet - but how would a proper amp installation compliment the standard setup.

Like i said , im mainly a bike nut so very unfamilliar with all the jargon on the forum...lol

welcome to the site always nice to see another 6 owner ill answer a couple of your questions for you
3)if you want it family orientated id go with upgrading to a jbr turbo intake pipe and short ram intake system,a 2nd decat pipe, and either a cobb tuner or a versa tuner these should help boost you to around 270-280bhp mark,a set of lowering springs h&r or eibach pro kit are the choice on here along with bilstein b8 shocks and upgrade the rear anti roll bar,and an upgraded rear engine mount
4)if you intend running an external amp you will need to change most components of the sound system as there is no pre outs to run external subs but to be honest the standard bose system is pretty decent
I hope this helps you out a bit dude
