Hey guys.

Currently own an ep3 civic type R (due to be sold to a friend in the next few days) So on the lookout for my replacement!

Image

Ive looked at all sorts from focus st's, bmw 320d's, 350z etc but im struggling to find what im after (within budget of about 8k)

Id totally ruled out the mps (as much as i love mazdas) due to the £400 tax band but ive just found out that the early 6 mps falls into the lower banding!

So im back looking again, any advice on them welcome ill be having a look about the site :)

Id love a 3! only seen one around my way but that tax... :(

Josh

Hi and :welcome:

Just look for the normal things (service history etc) and you should be fine.

there are very few known issues on the 6 (its to slow is number 1 :D ) but nothing major. I will let the 6 boys help with the others.........

Hmmmm the tax.........yep its stoopid but then again what's 20 extra squids a month????

Hope you find what you are looking for

Hello and :welcome: as dlm says the 6 is slow but not as slow as the 3 :ppp: no major issues with the 6 really, snatchy clutch in the early models, but should have been sorted under warranty, wheel corrosion, check the AC and check out the service history  happy hunting for an early model, they are like gold dust  bite the bullet and pay the extra tax it's worth it

Thanks guys, ive not had chance to search through the forum just yet im afraiddd (not lazy i swear :P) but while im here are they fairly simple cars to remap? So that the 'slower' 6 can be a bit more fiesty? ;)

both models are so well equipt for the money!

first car was a little K plate 323 so ive always had that love of mazdas haha :)

:welcome: Why settle for a huge road tax band and scrabbling around trying not to light up the front wheels, all while fighting the torque steer. : eek2 :

Get a 6 - AWD power down without the drama and bags of grip when you need it!! :D

Safe as houses and no need to mod as your gaining 0.5-1.0 seconds off the line over the 3 boys. AWD vs FWD :ppp: No brainer!!
