hi, just wanted to take 2 minutes to introduce myself. I have recently bought a 2007 mazda 3 mps with 19k miles from new. When purchasing the car I was dubious about the mileage even though it had fsh and all the mots to certify the mileage, however it was extremely obvious it was genuine when I viewed the car and the original rear tyres were still fitted with serious cracks in the side walls. The road tax is something that i'm dreading paying every year but apart from that i'm very happy with the new car. thanks lee

Hi and welcome along. As for the tax just put 40 quid or so away a month then when it comes to tax time you've got the money. Thats what I do

Just think of all the money you saved on the initial purchase cost of the car due this high tax frightening people off, and the low insurance compared to all the other 'hot' performance cars of the same power..£200+ extra is worth it and as readie says pop £40-£50 a month away for tax/insurance and when it comes next year it won't seem so bad mpg is pretty good too compared to old ST etc. Enjoy the car

Welcome to the site. I'd get those tyres changed if I were you. Like others have said, you pay more on tax, but on average you'll save when you compare it to other comparable cars.

thanks lee Hello and Lee. It's great you are enjoying the car. I got mine at 22700 miles, it still had the original bridgestone tyres with cracks all over. I managed it for a few months as I had to tax the car Handling wasn't great and I never floored it as I knew my tyres would give From my experience, they are reliable cars as all I have done to it within 1 year of ownership was just a service and 4 set of tyres. As said,£40ish a month savings should sort out the tax money
