Hi everyone, i've had my mazda 3 mps ,08, 35000 miles, for about 6 months now and absolutely loved the car, however, a week ago i decided to upgrade it for a few more horses, went to turbo pacs in durham (NE England)bought a full cat back exshaust, double capacity top mounted intercooler, cocksport induction kit stage 2 chip/remap and forge dump valve, on the way home, noticed when i went to depress the clutch , the pedal was throbbing, you,ve guessed it release bearing gone, the next day on start up engine rattle , sounded like sticking tappet' took it back to them, they did engine flush , new oil/ filter, seemed much quieter, took it home, next day set off to a local garage to get the cltch done (i live in middlesbrough by the way) and whole engine blew, bits of engine caseing on sump guard (wasn't exactly thrashin it) SO,, does anybody out there have either an engine for sale or , want to buy a mint condition 3 mps, that needs an engine , also has anybody ever had any dealings with turbopacs in durham , any replys would be greatley appreiciated, thanks, Graham.

Mate, gutted for you. I sooo wish you came here earlier, we would of told you to stay WELL clear. They've got an AWFUL reputation with the MPS, one guy spent £20k+ with them.
I feel so sorry for you :(

It's clearly there fault, sue them? They are clueless with our cars, they false advertise and all sorts.

How are these so called "professionals" still in business!! The vibrating clutch was a bent rod no doubt. If you do source a new engine please drive your car like a granny to them and have the tune removed. Good luck.

The likely bent a rod while attempting to tune the car... what a nightmare
They must accept some responsibility??

See what Trading Standards have to say. Consumers have legal protection against poor workmanship & modifying cars is no exception.

That's terrible, you should be contacting trading standards like has been said above.

Sorry to hear this.
