Hi guys and girls,
Picked up my new car on Friday- a 3 MPS Gen II

I'm new to Mazdas, or indeed anything not French. I'm a bit of a Citroen/Peugeot nut. I toyed with the idea of buying a new 208 GTI but the dealer experience was poor from both of the Peugeot dealers I went too. I think because of my age they didn't take me seriously.

On thinking about it I decided to save a bit of money and buy a 3 year old car and not get whacked with the depreciation, then put the rest of the money away for safe keeping.

So after testing a few German cars such as Golf R32's, Seat Leon Cupras etc I randomly decided to see what the Mazda dealer round the corner had- a test drive later and I bought the car!

She is in Velocity red, and I got the dealer to do the wheels black for me :-) I am hugely happy with the car so far and it's breadth of abilities have shocked me compared to some of the recent French performance cars I've had.

I haven't left my obsession with French tat completely though: I've got a 205 GTI tucked away in the garage for sunny weekends

Welcome to the site and the MPS. I too came from a French history and the MPS is different, but in good ways.

Milton Keynes- the dealer was in Northampton. I was in Northampton driving the Golf and decided to see what all the other dealers had and this was right out front. I've only ever seen one other MPS in Milton Keynes so I guess they are pretty rare!

It is indeed! Mine is a limited run Sorrento green car too with the full leather etc. Amazing car. Handling is out of this world.

Love the 205gti, my mate had a white one with the full leather. I always wanted one but never got the chance. Stuck to the road like glue!!!
