Hello girls & boys, Just wanna say what a nice and friendly forum you guys have going (compare to some I've been on ) I bought my Mica Blue MkI 08 27k on the clock in Sept, for what I think was a bargain. Although it was very sad to see our CTR go, it had been bulletproof and a joy to own. I think wifey will get another one for sure later on. The main reason for going for the MPS is due to the fact I've recently become a dad for the first time and the extra doors have come in handy. I was very close to buying a 330d E90 but couldnt find the spec I wanted. Before I bought my MPS I saw 2 others, one at a dealership- just to have a nose around, get a test drive and convince wifey. Was quite funny the saleswoman who took me out on the test drive wouldn't let me go over 70mph or accelerate hard , something which I found hard to do testing a 2.3lt Turbo petrol car, especially coming down the slip road of the M25 . The second car I went to see was miles away and I was there for 5mins, it was a “dealer” and the address was at a ressidential property, the pics looked good and the description was spot on, spoke to the guy the day before and he said it was in immaculate condition, so was optimistic. Got there (ressidential address) called the guy and said they were on their way. Minutes later heard the car roaring up the road being driven by two juvaniles, who got out and just handed me the key and than went and sat on the step of the address, the car was in a state and I was sariously pissed off!! All I can say is that they’re really lucky I was with my 8month pregnant partner that day. I handed back the key didn’t say a word to them and just walked away . The next day though I bought my MPS. A few weeks later got it serviced by my local independent garage and rolling roaded and made 269bhp/295 torque on V-Power. They mentioned it was running very rich, I’ve since find out that’s the norm with the Mazda standard map. Had an issue in Jan where the jubilee clip snapped off the radiator hose and currently at cold starts the car on occasion stalls and is very lumpy before warming up and then its fine. I’ve bought some colder NGK plugs to go on in a few weeks and gonna get the garage to give the MAF and TB a clean. Modding wise I was really hoping to avoid it but I’ve recently bought VersaTuner and ordered a CorkSport SRI/TIP, 2nd cat delete will be a custom job. I’ll probably need some help tweaking the VersaTuner map later on. Other than that need to get tints ASAP to protect the lil’ man from the occasional appearance of the sun and the suspension could do with stiffening up a bit. Wow I've rambled on enough, thanks for reading.

Thanks for the welcome and congrats, I'll try get some pics up tonight. Love the fact hardly anyone knows about the MPS, especially when they try it on Did think about getting a 6 for the AWD but having had a a few evos with transfer case issues thought I'd try a FWD turbo.

I've just come out of a TT Supra and I'm still driving like a spaz in the MPS!!!
