Eyup evryone. I collect my 2010 MPS 3 after work, and I cannot wait. F.Y.I 60 plate, December 2010 in black.

Some questions if you will.

1. Is this a mkII
2. I assume as it's still under the manufacterers warrenty no improvements are allowed yet?
3. I will at some point be changing the, air inlet, exhaust and suspension. Are there any favourites among you all?

Thank you, Paul

Hey and welcome..

I may be wrong but I think you can only get 2010 59 plate mk1s, if it has a big hole in the bonnet it's a mk2! :-)

Hello & :welcome: along!

Yup I would imagine it is a mk2...one thing you need to watch out for is a batch of 60 plates were made without satnav and reverse sensors so sold new at a reduced price and a 60 plate I recently looked at in Aberdeen, also in black, didn't have satnav but had reverse sensors so I can only guess the first owner had these added as an extra

plan your mods for when your warranty ends that's what I'm doing then September I'm going for everything lol.
Good luck with your new motor.

Yes, will be a mk 2. Get some pics up when you get it. If it's a 60 plate then it should have warranty until December 2013. It's up to you if you want to mod before then, just be prepared to take a hit if the car needs any work doing.

Welcome mate. Yeah will be a MK2 if got the bonnet scoop

Intake wise, either CorkSport or SURE. Most people go for an intake and a turbo inlet pipe, as the standard one is quite restrictive.

The noise from an intake alone is worth the money, bring on the turbo spool

Recirc valve, either Forge or Turbosmart. Don't get a BOV as it messes up with the air/fuel ratio I believe if its full atmospheric?? So stick with a recirc valve, you'll still get the air noise from it through the intake

Exhaust, get a 2nd decat first (on my to do list) either CorkSport, SURE M3 or most just get a custom one made up as its a lot cheaper.

Cat back system, there is Jetex who do one for about £600, CorkSport is more expensive about £800, or again just get a custom one made up.

Hope this helps but there's loads of info on this forum, sure helped me out a lot

Hi and :welcome: to :mpsoc:

Whichever mark it is they are so responsive to tuning, I have a second decat and centrebox removal, intake, turbo inlet pipe and recirc valve and it makes the world of difference both to the sound and performance.

No doubt we will have you spending your pennies on mods in no time
