Hi

I used to be a member of the 323F club, but I would like to know more about Mazda 6 MPS, so where better to start.
For the last 6 years I have owned a 323F 2litre V6 and its gonna be hard to beat. So can anyone tell me, does the MPS sound better, handle better, give you even more of a thrill ????
I am on my second Mazda and I love them, love the interior, style and reliability.
The reason I am considering another car is that mine has just cost over £700 to get through the MOT. Its now 18 years old and at that point where it costs more money than its worth on paper, which I cant afford to keep spending on something which may need more and more done.
So is it worth me saving to get a Mazda 6 MPS, or will I regret letting the V6 go ?? Should point out that I like the look of the earlier ones, pre 2008. Not so keen on the newer ones. Also, what are the Mazda 3 MPS like ??

Thanks for any input

I used to be the same :) I had an Mx-3 1.8 v6, and to me that was the muts nuts. I got rid for the exact same reason, after it just ended up costing too much. in all fairness, the MPS' do sound pretty damn good, but I dont think you can beat the sound of a v6, there's just something about them! You will, miss the sound, but you will love what an MPS has to offer, as mine never fails to out a smile on my face!

Oh and :welcome:

Hello and :welcome:

If you wonder what they sound like, the clip below is a nice indication, if you change the exhaust and intake. :)

Yeah with exhaust / intake mods they sounds pretty good - as standard though you won't be that impressed.

I agree - even though they are meant to have engineered in a 'sporty' exhaust note it's not something that you listen to and it makes you grin (without mods as described). I've never heard what the 323 V6 sounded like but V's tend to sound better. My old Toledo V5 had quite a pleasant off-beat burble, even as standard.

Welcome mate. I've owned a 310bhp 200SX S14a and 180bhp Civic VTi and the 3 MPS is better. More comfortable and get more of a buzz from driving it. Just getting an intake will put a smile on your face everyday. The noise of the turbo spooling and the recirc valve is awesome

No, really.... I won't ever get into modding. I have had the good fortune to drive some fantastic cars and i like them just as they are. I am a 42 year old female and have plenty of other things to do in my spare time than modding.
Your cars all look great but not my thing.
Anyone live near Dorking, fancies meeting up and letting me hear your MAzda 6 mps ??

an mps won't sound anything like a v6 im afraid. And you will be very dissapointed with the sound of a standard one, best bet would be a 350z or something like a golf r32 if you love the v6, fto's sound nice too but there getting on abit now. An mps' power would more than make up for the sound though!
