Hi
The wife has just taken delivery of a 10 plate 3 MPS in white. As I'm the car mad one here, It'll be me who will be doing most of the posting.
She had a 55 plate 2ltr Sport which to be brutaly honest, was bland! It did everything perfectly well but nothing to make you smile. I'm a bit spoilt as I have an Impreza STi currently on 430 bhp so it's a hard act to follow!
So far I've found the MPS a pleasant car to drive, SO much better than the 'Sport' and it's loaded with gizmo's!
I'll be asking on here about various mechanical aspects, recommendations, experiences etc so, although I know Imprezas very well, I'm keen to learn all about the MPS

Hi John,

I also had a 2.0 06 Sport prior to my MPS. Totally different cars! I can totally relate to your "bland" comments!

Welcome!

There's one or two on here that'd wipe the scooby I bet. Then again I bet there's tonnes of scoobies that'd eat us.

Lol yep it's all relative on how far you wanna go. Least with scoob's tuning options are far easier than we have it. Plus most stuff available over here without importing :)

With 430bhp and 390lbft torque, the Scoob would eat the MPS for breakfast but only once the turbo had spooled!
I drove it home from the dealer (Milcars, Watford) but quite sedately as I didn't know how old the fuel in it was. It was immediately apparant that the wheels were badly out of balance so I've had them done and sent the bill to Milcars! With fresh V-Power and balanced wheels, it's much nicer to drive.
Unfortunately, as it's actually the wifes car, I've been told in no uncertain terms it will not be modded

Maybe. As I'm not too clued up on MPS's at the mo. I couldn't say, but how would you put enough power through those front wheels? I guess it might be a different story with a 6? The Scoob has a potential sub 4 sec 0-60 but I've not been brave enough to try it!
I'm looking forward to seeing some of the more extreme MPS's
