Hello and :welcome:
When we mean start saving we mean because of modifications for more power :)
Not because they break.

Only 2 main things to look out for when buying.

1. VVT, any slapping chain sounds from the left side of the engine is a walk away moment.

2. Turbo seals, idle the car for a good 10-15 minutes, if the exhaust then starts to put out white smoke with a hint of blue and smells, then run a mile :)

Otherwise enjoy your new toy :D

Thanks guys, Japanese turbo tuning is not new to me by any means. Was thinking of going the bigger turbo route 30/76, I've heard the engines have forged internals, is this correct?
Is the vvt fixable easily as I'm used to 200 sx issues? ie new pulleys etc?
Anyone near Chesterfield with good knowledge of these fancy coming and having a look with me as I'm new to these. :)

Hey and :welcome:
nope we are not forged. But with 3076 you will be, sooner or later :D :D :D . vvt and timing chain quite easy to do if you have correct timings tools

Ok, the one I'm looking at has versatune fitted and a corksport pipe. I'll read up on the versatune on here before I have a play :)

Welcome  There is definitely a massive culture for 'improving' the car here. I didn't have any real plans until I joined  :D
