Haha way ahead of you. Great minds and all that.

Except it will be vinyl. I've got a mate that does motorsport liveries for Carlin Motorsport (and many others) so has or can get vinyl in all colours/tints. Front will be a light smoke and rear slightly darker. The reflectors in the front bumper I'm thinking limo black but he's only got it in an interior grade so it might not last too long.

Still not modding it though

As soon as I had a look around it became impossible not to mod it. I blame this site almost entirely for where the contents of my wallet go for the foreseeable future

Don't throw any of the OEM stuff away though, keep it safe.

Always did that with the Primera and MR2.

Or did to start off with the Primera anyway. Once it got to mods that replaced worn components (exhaust, suspension, top links etc) I threw away the standard parts. Or if it required butchering the OEM components (like chopping up seat subframes to fit bucket seats).

MR2 can go back to completly standard in a couple of hours (except the catback as that was knackered, but it's not too in your face anyway and doesn't sound much different to OEM once it's got a catalytic converter in the system).

Welcome and good choice. I have a MR2 MK2 Rev 3 as well for the "just go out and drive" moment. I actually drive through a rain storm last Saturday topless from Cambridge back to London on the back roads and didn't get wet :)

Awesome! I did a evening/night drive with the roof off along the A272 from Winchester all the way through to the A23 then back up towards the M25. Got some strange looks but it was amazing blasting the back roads with the moon and stars above me.

So much better than just opening a sunroof.

Who look after yours? Luke at Pacific Works is the carer of mine but I am wondering if there is any good specialist closer to London.

So far I've done everything on it myself.

But that said there are 2 places I'd recommend:

JDModified in Basingstoke (used to be an MR2 specialist years back).

Rogue Motorsports. Doran is an ex-NPOC member and has sorted me out with cheap servicing parts in the past (although haven't spoken to him for close to 2 years so he might not be there anymore). It's up near Coventry though so not close at all
