Update
Garage refuses to take back or repair.
Had it repaired myself as needed it on the road no other transport
Cat Back exhaust as hole in centre pipe- new cat back and back boxes
Worn timing chain replaced with full kit
n/sf and o/s/f shockers-leaking replaced
n/s/f and o/s/f lower arms as bushes worn-didn't need replacing
n/s/f and o/s/r lateral link bushes worn-didn't need replacing
disks and pads all round- replaced
both rear brake callipers seized- replaced
n/s/f and o/s/f wheel bearings need replacing-replaced

the other garage I took it to was very good all in all the car drives like a dream now.
Looking to get the cost back for works done through CC company.
All works + parts approx £1600

Wait, they REFUSED to take it back, yet you where still within 3 months of buying it?

Good to hear you used your credit card, let them fight the battle. Sounds like the garage were trying to fabricate a few problems also, did you mention it was a main dealer? I'm becoming less and less impressed with main dealers from all manufacturers.

You mentioned the tapping noise, could it be possible that it's just the injectors you are hearing? I'm sure direct injection cars make a bit of a tapping/ticking noise, my other car (Honda Accord 2.4) also made a slight ticking noise.

Jeez i thought i had a shit first month with my mps ,kenny is right they cant refuse to take the car park .

Speak to citizens advice for sure , then get a lawyer .
