This was mine. I had the second decat removed, along with the small silencer that sits right beside it. Plus a SRI and TIP, and Turbosmart 50/50 valve.

very very impressed with the sounds off it. would the dump valve alone give that woosh or is that mostly due to the tip and 2nd decat removed? do you have a c and c exhaust also? is the sri and tip easy to fit and do they come with instructions?

Its not the one with the turbo pipe just the air filter an maf sensor and pipes/hoses. If the sri helps the restriction will there be much point in the tip as well as it?

Sri&tip is the no.1 mod on here ... Here is pic of stock tip compared to my upgraded one: It's a deformed peice of junk

Welcome aboard mate,I have a full 3" secondary de cat and cat back c&c custom exhaust and it sounds awesome. I've also gone down the route of an air intake and turbo inlet pipe as well uprated suspension, rear anti roll bar and poly bushes. So if your stuck and need a hand with anything give me a shout

Defo should have got the tip too. Its very restrictive. You can get cheapish tips off ebay from thailand or china. Definately worth the extra cash!!!

Thanks a lot for all your help very very handy to know . The standard intake looks terrible how did they get away with that! Is removing the 2nd cat alright for mots? Sounds silly but just wondering because there is still the main cat in it. I got my sri from corksport.com don't fancy taking the chance with anything from thailand or china yet

The second cat is a flanged section about 80cm long. C&C will make you a replacement flanged section and fit it for you. They will give you the cat back too if you wish to fit it at a later date. Cost for 2nd decat only will be around £120 ish. Mention the forum and name a few of us. Mine was a red mk1 in my avatar, grandchamps was a black mk1, and kev and davie with the 6's. He might give a wee discount.
I cant say ive heard of anyone failing an MOT with a 2nd decat, and a fair few have mentioned they passed no problems.
