A lot of ppl buy brand new cars that have been standing for months in fields, up to their axles in long grass. At least with used cars you can see the mileage at the last Mot, or registration, to see if it has been out and about.

Yeah fair point. Just that two years seems an awful long time to have a used car and not be able to sell it

Yes, doesn't make sense to sit on a depreciating asset.

I've been emailing the dealer asking a few questions about it and i queried why it had been stood there for such a long time, if it had been run regularly and if it had been kept indoors...this is the response he sent me. In capital letters as well.

YES IT HAS BEEN USED AND YOU CAN SEE BY THE WEB SNAP IT IS WAS AN INSIDE CAR.PLEASE BEAR IN MIND, WE ARE NOT A BACK STREET GARAGE WE ARE A MAIN MAZDA SERVICE DEALER AND HAVE BEEN FOR 28 YEARS.SOME TIMES IT IS HARD TO SELL A CAR THAT HAS A HIGH TAX CLASS AND WITH 270 BHP THAT IS WHY WE STILL HAVE IT

There's no need for him to get shirty with me just because i've asked a few legitimate questions. Perhaps the reason they haven't sold is the fact it's overpriced and the way they speak to customers after some simple questions! : vmad :

Typical car salesman. Rude, arrogant, ignorant know it alls!

Slightly off topic but my dad went into local vw dealer to px his passat and spend around £25k (cash) on a brand new cc and was completely ignored, they looked at him then looked away and back to playing solitaire or whatever. He went in twice within 3 days and no-one spoke to him. No other customers insight either!! Seems like they don't want to sell cars nowadays!

Doesn't surprise me in the slightest. I've spoken with four now including this one. One couldn't wait to get me off the phone and never got back to after saying he would and another got shirty with me when I asked for the V5C Dcoument No. I only wanted it so i could run a quick DVLA check against it, nothing sinister!

No wonder car salesmen get a bad name because their customer service skills are appalling!

Salesman`s comments do not concur with the fact that Mazda dealers sold 3 MPS in one week recently. And these guys have had one for 2 years.

I would be sending a response email saying perhaps the reason you still have it because of arrogant responses like that. Guess what. It looks like your gonna have for even longer because you have just lost a customer. And I would send a copy of the email to the manager aswell with a letter.

And if there such a good Mazda dealer why are they telling you it has 270bhp.

270 bhp, even though it`s wrong, is a plus point.
