Looks untouched on the outside (so you can create your own look), except someone has replaced the standard ariel for a stubby one (which looks a lot better). I'm sure you could nudge them down a bit on price as it's a buyers market. Thanks, although I suspect that will come under the £470 tax bracket It's only 20 miles for me too, email sent! :-) Goose

I literally paid my tax today - all £460 worth. It'll be ridiculous when these cars are only worth a couple of £k and who knows what the tax will be then?
Keep us informed on whatever you end up getting. Be great if this one comes off for you being so local.

I've got the think though if I find one I really like but it's in the higher tax bracket, do I go for it? That's a lot of money! I had a look on FleaBay and most of them aren't far from me so plenty of scope for looking around. Ideally im looking for a red one, reasonably low miles, been looked after AND has SatNav (fat chance!) Goose

Finding one with Sat Nav is a long shot and you might have to compromise on that if everything else looks good. Also there are more out there in the higher tax bracket than not I'm afraid. It's a bitter pill but one that I swallowed. It's pretty unfair to have to pay such high tax in proportion to the cost but bang for buck as a whole the mps beats an awful lot out there and you would be paying more for most direct (yet inferior) competitors. Same tax bracket as most Impreza's, the Vectra VXR, £200 more than Mondeo ST220 (but I would rather pay the £200 premium each year any day).
