"Don't bring the hate to me" - Grow up. As I stated, this was not a criticism of you, but of the vendor, who clearly lacked manners. Yes, I was travelling from Northern Ireland, and had booked flights, which the vendor was aware of. Your opinion of him obviously differs to mine as you bought a nice car with no hassle. We obviously disagree, but I just thought it was extremely rude of the vendor to ignore me given that a deal had been agreed and arrangements made. A simple reply to let me know that someone had beaten me to it would have been in order. No need to reply, I have no wish to enter into a pointless argument with you, or hear your opinion on my reply.

Yeah, unfortunately it cost me a small sum, but onwards and upwards. Obviously the car just wasn't the one for me. More than happy with the one I have ended up with. Having had to sell an M3 as it was too awkward to get 2 young kids in the back (and of course the huge running costs), I expected to see a huge difference in performance in moving to the MPS. I must, say that the gap is nowhere near as big as I thought, and 4wd gives an extremely surefooted drive. Think I'll stick with the Mazda for a while.

That is bad I will agree you shouldn't have been out of pocket in anyway or form. I agree that he should have told you it was sold I've had to do the same with my BM as I had people wanting to view and wouldnt leave them without being notified.
Of course the seller left out all the details about you coming over, he just stated that a guy from Ireland wants it but he wasn't happy about the sale.

@ Jimbo - yeah, I suppose it's easier to see why I was annoyed when a few more details are given.
Not sure why he wasn't happy. I asked him how much he needed to secure the car. He gave me figure, and I agreed to pay the full amount. There was no haggling at all. I had asked him twice fir his mobile number to call him and garrange the time to pick up. Totally baffled as to why he was unhappy with the deal. Maybe he thought I was a scam artist looking for his bank details or something ;-)
(by the way - I never asked him for any of his personal info)
ANYWAY - that's me done whinging about your car. I really do wish you all the best with it.
