It is good mileage even for the age.

It's from a dealer, so I expected to pay a slight premium. That said, it comes with a comprehensive warranty which gives peace of mind. I live in northern Ireland and car prices here are a fair bit more than you would expect to pay in mainland UK. Also the 3 MPS is quite a rare car here, when I was looking for one I had the choice of 3 cars! All red, two with the aero pack and then the one I have purchased (the lowest mileage, best kept example, but without the aero styling). I've checked piston heads and eBay and theres alot of examples out there but as I've said none as exceptional in terms of mileage and condition as the one I'm in the process of buying. I think I can live with the styling, I will probibly tweak a few things like mps mud flaps, maybe the side stripe kit? That should give the car a slightly more purposeful look. By the way thanks for the wealth of information guys, I knew it was a good idea to join an owners forum!

I can't decide. From the first picture I thought yes, but from the picture of just the wheel I wasn't sure.....

If I had to make a decision I would say it was though.

Yeah, I thought that too? I've compared it to ones that have the aero suspension and it seems identical. Bottom line, these cars are brilliant, and I think that with the spec etc this one represents excellent value for money (when compared to a similar spec golf gti). It's an example of the earlier styling, pretty much as it was when the car was first launched, I think that has a charm of its own too. There's an old skool quality about this one that I quite like? Can't wait to have people in type r's, GTI's and STI's underestimate it at the lights!

Yeah it's not a big deal. If it doesn't have the aero springs in it though it's been registered wrong because it's not an aero. I've hpi checked the car and hpi call it an aero sports? So i don't know?

Yeah with your location you are much more restricted, I travelled 700 miles or so round trip to get my MPS nearly 2 years ago now.

A local guy got a black MPS spoiler for something like £180 off eBay and fitted it to his white MPS and I think he ended up getting it carbon wrapped and looked great, so if it's just the spoiler then you could just keep a look out for one and get it if you really wanted it

Yeah your right, that option is always there, I'd be a bit conerned about the extra holes that are left from the old spoiler? Apparently the aero spoiler has a completely different fitting pattern to the one on my car?

Yup 2 holes which you could get filled and touched up or sprayed and blended in, I've seen a couple on here that have stuck something over it I think and lived with that too.
