Here is a good thread to look at: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=484

I would say the most common is the Corksport as it comes with the TIP, or the K&N Typhoon which comes with the heat shield

The corksport just gives more sucking/intake noise and allows the recirculating valve to be heard.

No problem
I'm not so great under the bonnet and thankfully another member fitted mine for me, but if you set aside an hour or maybe 2 if you want to take it slow then you will be fine, I think it's just really fiddly getting down past the ECU to where the TIP connects, but fine enough other than that. If you do it, remember and unplug battery and clean your MAF sensor...then drive sensible for 30-50 miles to allow the ECU to adjust

Oh and where the battery is secured to the top of the gear box you need to undo it to allow you to push it to the side slightly so the ECU is a little less annoying.

Have a look at the instructions, but its for the Mazdaspeed3 (US version) and our ECU can't be removed as the instructions suggest
