my friend has an atr which i drive reguarly,i just finished fitting all new suspension to it on monday and its handling is just unbelievable for the size of the car.i treat the car like my own as i have it every other day.he's had it 5 years now and never looked back(he fancied a civic type r,but i made him buy the atr).the noise is amazing-even more so with the induction kit and cat-back.i have a 3 mps and i tell you i'd never get bored driving that atr.if i had to change cars tommorow and stick to a budget i'd so own a atr

on the other side of the coin,i know what your saying about wanting a newer car with all the characteristics of the atr,i'd say go for the 6mps,you wont be dissapointed (or a 3mps ).

Grandchamp2k7- like your friend i've also had the ATR for 5yrs and loved every minute! I've been in two minds about whether to sell for ages, or do i also fit coilovers which was final upgrade i haven't got round to.(what did your friend fit?) And continue to enjoy the reliability and satisfaction i get from her! I've replaced every ancilary that looked even remotely worn when i got her and with the ha22a7 lump being as good as it is- i could have 60k or more miles without having any major issues ahead, and with miles i do that could be 10yrs away! Mmm. . . . Confusing! Am i going to £6k's worth of extra enjoyment and improvement from a 6? Got to drive one to find that out! But none within 100miles of me for sale at mo.

i know what you mean although i think you'd be well impressed going from n/a to turbo charged we fitte kyb(kayaba)sports shocks and eibach lowering springs,new anti roll bar bushes,new upper wishbones and new drop links all round.what a difference it gets 4 wheel laser alligned next month.i urged him not to buy coilovers as i think they are only worth the money if you are taking the car on track-which he doesn't so the ride quality is still very good but handling is well improved.
