This is true. Mazda imported a small batch of cars without sat nav and parking sensors intending to sell a little cheaper to assess the market - other countries have two trim levels. Unfortunately nobody wanted so save £1k for nav and parking sensors so they sat for a few weeks. I nabbed one of them on teh condition the dealer installed the parking sensors and an aftermarket Pioneer DVD nav unit free. They did this and still sold the car at the reduced price to shift it
Bottom line, i've posted instructions for installing an aftermarket nav / upgraded audio so no bother there, and getting parking sensors installed can be done really cheaply, so use this to haggle a good price and you'll end up with something better than 'standard' trim
Also, i started modding my car 2 hours after picking it up from the dealer. Still in warranty and with the mods list below and never a quibble from the dealer...
