Welcome mate. You don't think the mps would give ya a run for your money then in the sti?

With 430bhp and 390lbft torque, the Scoob would eat the MPS for breakfast but only once the turbo had spooled!
I drove it home from the dealer (Milcars, Watford) but quite sedately as I didn't know how old the fuel in it was. It was immediately apparant that the wheels were badly out of balance so I've had them done and sent the bill to Milcars! With fresh V-Power and balanced wheels, it's much nicer to drive.
Unfortunately, as it's actually the wifes car, I've been told in no uncertain terms it will not be modded

You running a GT30 then, to be fair to get to 430 is no small task  , is your motor not forged or something I would have thought you would be running more torque at 430bhp. Nearer 450 or something? Yep off the line I don't think any 3 on here would have ya no matter what power they are running or break engine mounts trying lol!

The turbo is a hybrid by Lateral Performance MDX321T Pretty well GT30 equiv. but a bit quicker to spool although I still have to wait for >3500! Obviously there are the usual supporting mods of exhaust, intake, injectors, front mount etc. All mapped by Simon Roe (Jolly Green Giant) Does he map Mazda's?
Unfortunately, the 2ltr engine is quite a short stroke so torque is always compromised. The internals are standard (at the mo!) but are noted to be strong,(as is the 6peed box) there are a few on 500bhp with std internals! Usually with the help of petrol/methanol mix (the later 2.5ltr would have gone bang well before this!)

Ahhh, its a 2.0! That makes sense now. Yep I was assuming 2.5 hense why I was thinking major money spent and more torque.
Looked into scoob's quite a bit before getting the MPS, same with Evo's so spent quite a bit of time on other forum's learning bits and bobs.
