Firstly, hello all! :)

I recently joined this site after deciding that a 6 MPS will be my next car. My owned car list is as follows.....

Renault 5 GTX ( 1.7 twin carb 8v, Big DIY stereo install, mild tuning)
Renault 5 Turbo (Huge DIY stereo install, mild tuning)
Impreza Turbo (Huge DIY install and tuned to 320hp over 7 years)
350Z Roadster (Mild DIY stereo install and only exhaust changed!!)
Currently: Astra 1.6 GLS (oh dear.)

I almost went for an E46 M3 and was researching them for the last 6 months but the initial purchase cost and tuning options are very expensive to get any decent power and they are still loosing a lot on the residuals.

The 6 MPS was never really on my radar until a few weeks ago when a ran across them on a random Pistonheads browse. They seem tick all my, now grown up (31) boxes. Relatively cheap, turbo power for tuning, and the Jap reliability and the turbo of the 6 MPS convinced me that I had found my next motor.

So currently still researching the specs, tuning options, sale values etc and hope to find one in the next few months. I keep my cars for while so looking for a good example.

I'm good with the spanners as most of the Impreza tuning was DIY, I lost count of the numbers of exhaust/turbo/intercooler etc changes I have done over the years, so I am looking forward to some hand on fun with the 6 an up coming mods. The plan is to find one and use it for 6 months as standard, then its the handling upgrade with anti roll bars, springs, wheel spacers and alignment. Following that is the braking upgrade then the last will be tuning. I intend to fit all tuning upgrades in one hit with a preliminary list of down pipe with race cat + exhaust, intake, fuel system and ECUTEK remap (Powerstation only up the road from me).

So thats me, I'll be floating around a lot soaking up info so hope to be able to add some value from to the forum sometime soon.

Neil :)

Hey Neil......

My wife is looking to sell her Velocity Red 6 MPS in a few weeks..... she is expecting baby no. 2 and wants a Qashqai

Anyways, keep a heads-up on the For Sale forum as I'll put it up there when its nice and clean and ridden of empty chocolate wrappers and the remains of her toast crusts for breakfast.

45k of Miss Daisy miles with no mods and a 45k service which I'll have done before we sell. There's a photo of it here with its nice powder coated wheels. :

I'm not pimping it out to you but its a decent an example as you may see and I can vouch for its history, I know who it was bought from and I have looked after it in the 3yrs she has owned it..... the turbo has probably got dust on it! :D Its also got an RAC trackstar fitted!

Just outside Glasgow btw....

I'm looking for for a Mazda 6 MPS, a late (2006/7), low mileage example (less than 30k ish), fully loaded and pristine preferred.

Any colour other than red (sorry taloola69), private buyer, cash waiting.

Email me with price and particulars at Aptidz@gmail.com
