Hi everyone,

Took ownership of an 09 3 MPS in True Red, around 3 weeks ago now. Loving every minute of it!

Previous cars have been as follows:

2002 Honda Civic 1.4
This was my first car, had it from age 17 - 19. I fitted the Type-R kit and interior.

2005 Seat Leon 2.0 TDI Sport
Second car, bought this when i was 19, kept it for about a year and a half, but things were going wrong with it (airbag lights, clutch, flywheel, turbo), so i traded it in and got rid before i got hit with a bill of around £2k. Had fitted the FR/Cupra bumpers to it.

2006 Mazda 3 2.0 Sport
Third car. Got this while i was 20. It was the car i traded the Leon for. Never really intended on keeping it for too long, infact it lasted only 10 months. Sold it 3 weeks ago, before i took collection of my MPS. Painted the rear bumper like the MPS, and had Black RX8 Alloys fitted too.

My insurance was gradually dropping, but owning an MPS at 21 wasnt ever going to be cheap!

Thanks for looking.

Hello & :welcome:
Looks like you got yourself a great one

And yeah I hear what your saying regarding insurance, I was 20 when I got my MPS....but the crash and points never helped! haha. I found Admiral the best, but Sky were also competitive :D

Thanks everyone!

Yeah i am with Admiral, it is reasonable to be honest, no other company would touch me untill i was 25. 21 with 3 years NCB.

Plans for the car?
Well, ive changed the fog light to a clear one, changed the gearknob to a mazda illuminated one, and getting tints on Saturday.
Also want to get the resonators removed from the exhaust and get a rear engine mount.

Trying to keep it fairly standard with minimal mods untill the warranty runs out next march.

Will probably start a thread in the gallery at some point. Cheers!

Hi Ross,

Where did you get the clear fog light from?

Cheers.

Hi James

Short story: Bought one off eBay from Germany. :)

Long story: Bought one off eBay and had it on my previous car, Mazda 3 2.0 Sport. When i sold my old car, i also sold the fog light, not planning that was going to get another mk1 3.
Luckly, when i bought my MPS, someone on the Mazda 3 UK Forums was selling one, and i snapped it up straight away!
