Hello and welcome.
What makes you think that? Was it a private sale?
Have you a video to show us?

As Richie says from above as Mazda would charge way over £1000, even buying the parts yourself and a side at garage will cost you a good few hundred.
Upload the video to YouTube and send the link here, do a stone cold start, filming it from in the engine bay, on the drivers side.

Only from what I can hear on my phone (it's much better to listen when I'm at my computer but I'm currently at work) that is a failing vvt and what you're hearing is chain slap, I'd be getting on to who sold it you and letting them know what's happened and you'll be expecting them to replace the whole vvt unit along with guides, bolts, washers, chain and tensioner all under the sale of goods act.

Drove down to Milton Keynes today n told them they had a look and agreed the chain needs replacing as I bought it from Toyota they said they can't fix it so they are now sending it to mazda to fix with a minimum £1000 bill they wasn't happy but there problem not mine

Remember that doing just the chain is no good, theres the vvt, tensioner, guides and a few other bits that need doing as spammy mentioned above
