Hi all. I don't yet own an MPS, but hope to within the next few months. (Couldn't find an MPS wannabe owners club). Thought I'd start by doing some research on the forum and keep an eye out for any of you guys selling yours. I'm after a 6. I need a bigger car than the 3, which is a shame as there seems to be far more of them available. I've currently own a Saab 93 vector sport wagon ttid. This will be staying and hope to have the mps as a second car to have a bit more fun in. I have previously owned a variety of cars, some much better than others. I started off with a Vauxhall Cailbra when I was 17 (this was a bit pricey to insure!), then an MG TF (yes I know), a Seat Leon TDI FR, Isuzu Rodeo, GTM Spyder vvc k series, and a Alfa 156 2.4JTD 20v. Anyways, from what I have read so far, this seems a really friendly helpful forum and I can't wait to own one in the not too distant future! Cheers

Hey mate, I have recently just joined the mpsoc and bought a 6. I love it, what a car. Comfortable and easier to live with then a scooby or evo, with similar benefits of awd and a nice kick in the back when you plant your foot.
The gurus on this place are fantastic. They know there stuff and they try to help with any issues.

Good to hear. I love the fact that it's a bit understated. I considered a scooby but they attract far to much unwanted attention from the fuzz around hear. Don't very often see clean examples. Plus I've heard the servicing costs of the Evo are pretty high. Is yours stock?

Thank you very much everyone. I'm off to look at a car tomorrow. I might be a owner quicker than I expected.

I too had a Calibra, a few years ago now . Turbo which at the time went well. Always had performance type cars, Astra VXR, couple of Evo's, VIII & a IX which I loved at the time. But I think the 6 is a better all round car to live with day to day and cheaper to insure, and maintain etc. You will be happy with its all round ability. Good luck with your purchase. Kev

~Divine~Wind~ wrote: welcome to the forum dude Good luck with the hunt, got yer mind set on anythign specific for the car? Well would be quite happy with it as standard to begin with. That said my cousin has a 07 3.0 Z4 coupe and would be quite nice to get enough ponies to wipe the smile off his face. not sure how much that would take, I think the Z4 is about high 270bhps and I would guess a bit lighter but don't quote me. IOM 6MPS wrote: :welcome: I too had a Calibra, a few years ago now . Turbo which at the time went well. I would have loved to owned a turbo, that said I crash my 2.0 8v twice so probably a good job I didn't. As you said Kev that was more years ago than I wish to think about.
