Hi all, I've just purchased an 07 Mazda 3 MPS Aero in Black, previous car was a Focus ST170 so needless to say the Mazda is a serious step up in performance. I decided to register on an OC forum since I think they are an excellent source of information and this one seems to be no different I look forward to posting and hopefully becoming a regular visitor this forum. Anyway, enough drivel. I only have the one photo at the minute due to the naff weather recently. Hopefully looking at getting an xCarLink iPod connector, though I'm not sure how confident I am about taking apart my new (to me) car I'm not craving more power just yet, but It couldn't hurt to look into getting some any suggestions as to the best route? I'm guessing a Remap? Thanks for reading Rob

Hi and Getting to the stereo for the ipod adapter is a doddle and will not break your nice new toy. Its just a few screws in and around the glove box area, remove the strip above and a couple more screws around the stereo Mod wise - before the map, help it breathe with an Induction Kit or Cold Air Intake and go from there. Check out Mazdatechs signature for tuning options ......and enjoy

Ah I see, just wondered as I checked the records and it seems as though you bought it in Wiltshire, long way to go.

Thanks, i'm loving it so far.
I do have one question though, I noticed today a rather distinct droning/whine sound at lowish speeds, seemed to disappear at higher speeds, almost like knackered wheel bearings, but I wouldn't have thought this would go at high speeds. Should I be worried? I can't say I noticed it on the test drive.

Could be tyres. Try driving along a stretch of road with different surfaces and see whether the noise changes.

Well road surface doesn't seem to make any difference to the noise, any other suggestions? Or should I just not worry about it? It's more annoying than anything.
