Hi,
I'm new to this forum I have recently purchased myself a 3 mps mk2
What an amazing car and somehow managed to slip under the radar of the masses
Mine has done 60,000 on a 60 plate
I just have a few questions
It has a Sri and decat
What are the other best (reasonably priced) mods to get the most bang for your buck
It has supposedly been remapped but with no proof of this I will get it done again once a few mods have been done.
Thanks a lot in advance

First thing you need to do is check its had HPFP internals fitted, if not id do it before going any further with your mods.

:welcome: along btw

Where are you based? Might help to get someone to check for you or help you check bits and pieces depending on how good (or bad) you are with spanners.

Uprated High Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP) internals are essential on mildly modified Mk2's due to their crazy ECU logic.

Hi and :welcome: to the club

I can only echo the need for upgrading the high pressure fuel pump internals when modding the Mk2 MPS to prevent fuel pressure dips when on boost.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Another echo for the HPFP for the MK2, worth checking if that's done as your car is modified.

I wouldn't worry too much about VVT, run a search on here and do some reading, but the Mk2 has revised parts and the VVT is certainly not as prone to issues when compared to 6MPS's.

You would have to remove the cam driven fuel pump.

Welcome to the forum .! If your gonna map your car then buy a Cobb access port or versatune! Then get the best tuner in Britton on the Mps platform to work his magic! You will need hpfp internal tho.

Right so I go ahead and pull off the high pressure fuel pump,
What am I looking for in there as an indication as to whether it's been done yet?
